Springwell Learning Community

Principal’s Message

A warm welcome to our Springwell Learning Community website.

Springwell is a genuine community of parents, pupils, staff, governors and multi-agencies working together for the best possible outcomes for our children and young people.

At Springwell, unconditional positive regard is at the heart of the work we do both with the pupils and with their parents/carers.  Positive relationships are the foundation of our success, enabling our children and young people to thrive because of the authentic care they receive.

Our aim is to provide our children and young people with an outstanding education.  We focus on the development of the whole child and our holistic curriculum provides creative, artistic, personal development and academic opportunities (with an unrelenting focus on literacy and numeracy skill development and high expectations), as well as an emphasis on the development of the pupil as a responsible, caring member of the school, local and global community.  Opportunities for learning beyond lessons to extend and deepen our pupils experience are inspiring, including our Shakespeare Festival, football tournaments, ukulele group – to name a few.

Our outstanding staff team are experts  at every level, who are all passionate about making a difference to our children and young people and their families.  They are highly reflective, innovative and have the highest expectations of what our pupils can achieve, summed up in the quote below:

As a result, the schools are rich in magical learning experiences, (captured on our blog and in our newsletters) and our climate for learning is ‘a haven’ for our pupils. (Ofsted 2018)

We are proud of the outstanding relationship we have with our families at Springwell.  Our partnership working is essential to our children’s success and we share pride together in the children’s progress and achievements and are there for our families when they experience challenges too.

With open hearts and minds we welcome all to Springwell Learning Community and we happily share our values, our expertise and our passion to change lives with all those who wish to find out more.
